Ingrid has been married to her husband Michael since 1995. They have 3 daughters named Isabella, Bailey and Ally. Ingrid has been homeschooling her girls since 2013. She graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Microbiology. Shortly after, Ingrid received her second Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Ingrid continues to work as a nurse. She had the privilege to do cardiovascular and peripheral vascular clinical research for 8 years of her nursing career. Ingrid considers it a blessing to have been able to combine her love for science, research, education and medicine. Above all, Ingrid is thankful for the blessing God has bestowed upon her by allowing her to teach her girls at home.
Janet is a wife to her best friend and a mother to three wonderful children. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College with a double major in Education and Psychology. She then received her Master’s degree from Emory University in Elementary Education. Janet taught at Peachtree Elementary for seven years and began homeschooling in 2005. Janet co-led an Enrichment Day program through a local homeschool group for six years and also taught elementary/middle school science in a homeschool co-op for 7 years. Janet’s passions include growing closer in her walk with Jesus, spending time with her family, and teaching. She believes that studying science is a fantastic way to see God’s amazing, complex, intricate creation as proof of His powerful love for us, His children.
Vicki has been married to her husband Trent since 1995. They have four children – Alex, Jacob, Olivia and Ian. Vicki holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science and Mechanics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. After graduation, she worked at as a project engineer for United Parcel Service for three years and Beers-Skanska Construction Company for four years. She later attended Georgia State University, working towards her Bachelors in Middle Childhood Education with a concentration in math and science. While attending Georgia State, she tutored middle and elementary students in both math and reading. Vicki has been homeschooling her children since 2009 and teaching math and science courses at Scholars Guild Academy since 2011. She enjoys traveling, yoga, reading, the beach, and anything Disney. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her family.
Gary and his wife, Virginia, have a melded family of 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. Gary has a BA in Chemistry with Minors in Math, Physics, Physical Science, and Secondary Education from Northern Colorado University. He worked in Industry for 42 years. After retiring, he began teaching various science courses at Loganville Christian Academy for 14 years until he retired again. All jobs were very gratifying, but teaching was the most rewarding, so he is happy to return to the classroom. Gary's first love is serving the Lord and he has taught Sunday School since he was in high school. He and Virginia are members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
Ashley graduated from the University of North Georgia with a B.S. in Biology in December 2015 and has been a science instructor at SGA since 2016. Ashley has been passionate about science and math since she started high school and has pursued those disciplines ever since. She was also a homeschool student and is a graduate of Heritage Classical Studies Center in Lilburn. Ashley has been married to her husband, Seth, since January 2016 and together they have a beautiful little girl. Above all, Ashley desires to follow Jesus in obedience throughout every aspect of her life and hopes that the Lord will use her to impact the lives of others.
