libby frazier

Libby graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Education and a minor in Science.  She married Steve in 1995 and has 4 amazing children. She has had the privilege of teaching science in public, private and homeschool for over two decades.  One of her greatest joys is homeschooling all four of her own kids. She also has enjoyed the pleasure of teaching classes at Scholars Guild Academy since 2010.  Her goal is to introduce and help create an interest and desire in the field of science while using this field to point to the Creator. Her hobbies include anything outdoors and spending time with family.   She is excited about the upcoming school year and waiting to see what God has in store.

mary leigh harper

She met her husband, Lee, at Georgia Tech while earning a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics.  After graduation, Mary Leigh taught at Brookwood High School in Gwinnett County until she delivered their first daughter.  They now have four children …two spunky girls and two very energetic boys. Mary Leigh is a self-professed “math geek” and has delighted in tutoring middle, high school and college mathematics for more than 20 years as well as homeschooling her children for many years.   She was elated to get back to the classroom when she began teaching Math (and eventually Personal Finance) at Scholars Guild in 2011. She enjoys traveling with her husband and snuggling on the sofa with her kids.

jenny houston

Jenny married her husband Matt Houston in 2010. Together they have three children, Lucas, Emma and Levi. Jenny graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education. She went on to get her Masters in Education from Piedmont College. After graduating from college, Jenny taught 8th grade math at Gainesville Middle School for five years. After having her first child, she decided to stay home and raise her kids. Most of Jenny’s time is spent with her kids or serving alongside of her husband at their church.

Christy married her high school sweetheart, Rodney, in 1986.  They have six beautifully unique children. Her fourth child, Elyott, was born with a rare neurological disorder and entered heaven the summer of 2014. They also adopted a precious daughter from Russia in May of 2009.  Christy dreamed of being a teacher from the time she was a little girl. She graduated from University of Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education and taught at Loganville Primary School for 4 years. After their second child was born, she and Rodney were led to begin their path into homeschooling. Christy is so grateful for opportunity to be a part of SGA in the roles of both admin and teacher.

Janet is a wife to her best friend and a mother to three wonderful children.  She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College with a double major in Education and Psychology.  She then received her Master’s degree from Emory University in Elementary Education. Janet taught at Peachtree Elementary for seven years and began homeschooling in 2005. Janet co-led an Enrichment Day program through a local homeschool group for six years and also taught elementary/middle school science in a homeschool co-op for 7 years. Janet’s passions include growing closer in her walk with Jesus, spending time with her family, and teaching. She believes that studying science is a fantastic way to see God’s amazing, complex, intricate creation as proof of His powerful love for us, His children.
